Kateisms

There are so many hilarious things Kate says...yesterday I was on all fours chasing her around the living room. When I growled at her, she got scared, jumped up on the couch and turned to me and said..."Mommy, you not a monster, you just a nice guy. You just a yittle guy." HA!

Then in the car the other day she said "Mommy, you hold my hand?" So of course, I finagled my arm back to hold her little hand, and then she says "Mommy, you my bestest friend ever!" *Melt Mommy's Heart*.

In the car on the way to Aunt Keke's house, Kate (who watches a lot of Pooh and Tigger) says to me "Mommy, Baby Ross is my buddy boy!"

And don't think for a second kids aren't playing us! Kate's listening ears have caught onto something recently...every time she does something she knows she's not supposed to and I call her on it, she starts screaming and crying and saying "I tired Mommy, I just tired." I guess the exhaustion crutch is out!:)

Christmas Cruise Pictures

We had such a fab trip to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Marten over Christmas. We got to go with 29 people on my Dad's side of the family. My grandparents treated everyone to the Christmas Cruise in honor of their 57th wedding anniversary. Quite a reason to celebrate if you ask me...and there's no one else in the world that I would rather spend vacations with than family! If we include everyone on both sides of Jared's and my family we might be able to have the boat to ourselves. HA

Kate visited the allergist right before we left on the trip, and we were sooo excited to find out she is not allergic to milk or eggs any longer. So the only she wanted to do on the boat was EAT! If you ask her what she wanted to do..."I go on big boat and eat pancakes!". And eat pancakes she did--Jared and I cracked up every morning watching our sweet little girl woof down 5 or 6 pancakes at a time...making up for lost time I guess.

She experienced the ocean and the beach for the first time--what fun to watch her soak up the sun, play in the sand, and paddle around in her floatie vest. She had a big time, and was as easy going as could be. Having my cousin Luke on the trip made things even better for her--Luke is almost exactly a year older than Kate...so she thought he was quite cool, and everywhere we went they had a buddy so that was really fun.

People ask me what my favorite parts of the trip were--

1. We did a Kayak, Hike & Snorkel on an uninhabited island off of St. Thomas with some of my favorite cousins, my parents, and my aunt and uncle. It was soooo cool--got to see a SHARK, lobster, barracudas, sting ray, octopus, and all kinds of other really cool sea life. Plus the group we were with had a hermit crab race, and HOLLA, guess who's crab won?! Yup, mine. They let us hold sea urchins, and starfish...all around the best excursion I've ever been on.
2. In honor of my Grandparents Anniversary, all their kids put together a Jeopardy game of their lives. It was really cool--not only because my team won (can you see the competitive streak in me yet?) but because we got to learn a lot of the details of my Grandparents life together...they are quite the inspiration.

3. Duh....the FOOD!
